- LEAN's Final Riverkeeper Report. LEAN A survey was performed to determine what
groups and organizations sample Mississippi River water in the industrial corridor for
chemical or metals contamination, what information is obtained and what is done with the
results. LEAN also took one years worth of Mississippi River water samples
at six different points along the river from Baton Rouge to
New Orleans.
